openLifetime | Privacy Policy

No accounts, no tracking, no data collection.

Last updated: 2026-10-18

Scope

This policy applies to openLifetime — a free, static archive of evidence-based health information covering supplements, food safety, and home devices. It describes what data is collected when you visit the site. The short answer: none that identifies or follows you.

What we collect

Nothing. openLifetime is a fully static website. There is no backend, no analytics, no cookies set by us, and no forms. No account is required to read anything. Your browsing stays on your device.

Cookies & local storage

The site sets no cookies and writes nothing to browser storage (localStorage or sessionStorage). The only client-side code that runs is the page's own UI scripts, which read data already embedded in the page and never transmit it anywhere.

Analytics & tracking

There is no analytics, no advertising, and no cross-site tracking. We do not use fingerprinting techniques or embed third-party pixels.

Third-party links

Links to PubMed, OpenAlex, FDA, EPA, WHO, and other sources open in a new tab. Once you leave this site, those destinations are governed by their own privacy policies. Nothing is sent to them from this site beyond your own click.

Hosting & server logs

The site is served as static files. The hosting provider may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, timestamp, and requested file) for security and availability — these are not used to track individual visitors or build profiles, and we do not access them for that purpose.

Security

Because the site collects no personal data, there is nothing on our side to breach. If you believe you have found a security issue with how the site is served, please let us know so it can be addressed.

Children's privacy

The site does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. No content here is directed at collecting personal data of any age group.

Your choices

You can use the site without providing any personal information. There are no settings to configure and no consent banners to accept — there is simply nothing to opt in or out of.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Given the site collects no data, material changes are unlikely.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be directed through the project's public repository or any contact listed on the About page.
